4.2.9.2 Sending SMS Messages
SMS messages are sent from
MENU | SMS | MSG EDIT. Use
the alph-numeric keypad to enter
the desired text, then enter the
destination ID or select it from the
index.
Sending SMS
messages may be
disabled by radio
programming. When
SMS is disabled,
SENT MESSAGES
and MSG EDIT will
not appear on the
SMS menu. The
radio will still receive
SMS and you can
view received
messages.
Press MENU
Use up/down
keys to select
SMS
Use up/down
keys to select
Msg Edit
Key in
message and
press OK
Enter
destination ID
or use INDEX
then press
SEND
