Turning GameTime’s™ beep sound off
The GameTime™ beeps when a player loses a game by failing to meet a time control.
You can also set GameTime™ to beep before a time control is about to expire (see the
following section).
To turn the beep on or off:
1. Slide the PAUSE/PLAY switch to PAUSE.
2. Press the SELECT button until the word SOUND appears in the display.
3. Use the + button to SELECT On or OFF.
4. Press VERIFY or slide the PAUSE/PLAY switch to PLAY .
Sound a warning before the end of a game
You can set GameTime™ to beep just before the end of a time control.
To set a warning beep:
1. Slide the PAUSE/PLAY switch to PAUSE.
2. Press the SELECT button until you see the words COUNTER and SOUND in the
display. (The SOUND option must be ON for this display to appear, see previous
section.)
3. Use the + and – buttons to select the number of seconds the beep sounds before
the end of the time control.
4. Press VERIFY or slide the PAUSE/PLAY switch to PLAY .
Controlling when the countdown delay or FIDE bonus time is used
The count-down delay is most useful for sudden-death time controls. However, you can
apply the delay to all time controls. If you are using the FIDE bonus time, it too can
apply to all time controls by turning the ACCUM ALL option On.
