MEASUREMENTS

WARNING:Riskofelectrocution.High‐voltagecircuits,bothACandDC,areverydangerousandshouldbe

measuredwithgreatcare.

1. ALWAYSturnthefunctionswitchtotheOFFpositionwhenthemeterisnotinuse.

2. IfOLappearsinthedisplayduringameasurement,thevalueexceedstheselected

range.ChangetoahigherrangeorusetheAutorangemode.

DCVOLTAGEMEASUREMENTS

CAUTION:Donotmeasure DCvoltagesifamotoronthe circuitisbeingswitched ONorOFF.Large

voltagesurgesmayoccurthatcandamagethemeter.

1. SetthefunctionswitchtotheV ‐position.

2. Insert the black test lead banana plug into the negative

COM jack. Insert the red test lead banana plug into the

positiveVjack.

3. Touchtheblacktestprobetiptothenegativesideofthe

circuit.

4. Touch

the red test probe tip to the positive side of the

circuit.

5. Readthevoltageinthedisplay.
