3. To transfer photos, videos, e-book text files, and standard-format MP3 and WMA music to the MP850,
the MTP (Media Transfer Protocol) mode in the Settings menu must be set to “USB.” In this mode, files
can be transferred by simply dragging them onto the MP850’s Removable Disk drive letter. You can also
create your own folders within the MP850 and copy files directly to the folders.
4. To transfer WMA-DRM10 music files to the MP850, please set the player’s MTP (Media Transfer Protocol)
mode in the Settings menu to “MTP.” In MTP mode, please use Windows Media Player 10 to transfer and
synchronize WMA-DRM10 music files with the MP850.
5. While files are being transferred to the MP850, the screen will display a “WRITE” message. After files
have been successfully transferred, the “READY message will be displayed again.
6. If you choose to transfer files or folders to the computer, the MP850 will display a READ” message
indicating that the files are being transferred to the computer. After files have been successfully
transferred, the “READY message will be displayed again.
7. Always disconnect the MP850 from a computer by selecting and following the instructions for the “Safely
Remove Hardware” icon that can be found on the Windows
®
Toolbar at the bottom of the computer
screen.
