During playback
Controlling the Volume
Press VOL.(+)/VOL.(–) button.
or
Touch the upper or lower
of the Plus Touch when the Playback
window is displayed

Volume adjustment bar appears and
disappears about 2 seconds later.

Note
-The “PLUS TOUCH↑↓” in the “SETUP” - “BASIC SETTINGS” window can be
used to toggle between “VOLUME” and “ALBUM SKIP”.
-Assigning MUTE to A button of the gigabeat (>p.138) and pressing A button
will mute the audio.
-Setting “PRESET VOLUME” in the “SETUP” - “AUDIO” window to “ON” permits
playback at the volume that was set with Music information edit of gigabeat
room.

“Editing Tag (Track) Information” (>p.95)
-When the gigabeat is connected to the AC adapter via the USB CRADLE, the
setting of “PRESET VOLUME” has no effect.
Pausing playback
Touch the center of the Plus Touch to pause
playback.
Touch the center again to resume.

Note
-When the folder to be played back contains a number of files, or after playback
has been stopped, it may take several seconds from the time the center of the
Plus Touch is touched until playback begins.
-On rare occasions noise may be heard, depending on the track.
