Troubles of the gigabeat and gigabeat
room
Issue: -When changing to the gigabeat with the “gigabeat Button” of the device
panel, gigabeat room terminates.
-When selecting the gigabeat and then selecting “Gracenote Playlist”,
gigabeat room terminates.
Solution: Make a USB connection between the gigabeat and the PC. Follow the
procedures described below and delete the files indicated below by using
Windows Explorer on the PC. After that, refresh the library in the gigabeat
using gigabeat room.
1 Changes the folder option
1 Click “Folder Options” of the “Tools” menu on Explorer.
The “Folder Options” window will open.
2 Click “View”.
3 Place a check mark on “Show hidden files and folders” of “Hidden files and
folders”.
4 Remove the check mark from “Hide protected operating system files
[Recommended]”.
2 Delete all files in the folders below in the gigabeat.
\GBSYSTEM\MUSIC
\GBSYSTEM\GN
3 Restore the folder options.
1 Place a check mark on “Do not show hidden files and folders” of “Hidden files
and folders”.
2 Place a check mark on “Hide protected operating system files
[Recommended]”.
