Battery operation
1. Remove the battery cover on the rear of the unit by pushing the
catches in the direction of the arrows.
2. Insert four UM-1 (D size) batteries into the space in the
compartment. Take care to ensure all batteries are inserted with
the correct polarity as shown inside the battery compartment.
Replace the battery cover.
3. Reduced power, distortion and a stuttering’ sound are all signs
that the batteries may need replacing.
4. If the radio is not to be used for any extended period of time, it
is recommended that the batteries are removed from the radio.
We would recommend for economy that the PR-D2(V) is used
on the mains power supply whenever possible with battery
operation for occasional or stand-by use only.
Battery replacement
1. The battery indicator will appear in the display for 7 seconds
after the radio is switched on or off. The indicator will show
when the batteries are fresh. The battery should be replaced
when the indicator show or the battery power is too weak
to turn on the radio ( will flash for 7 seconds ).
After removing the batteries you have approximately 3 minutes
to replace the batteries after which the clock and memory
information will be lost .
Mains power operation
Place your radio on a flat surface. Plug the mains lead into the
mains socket located on the rear of your radio ensuring that the
plug is pushed fully into the socket. The batteries will be
automatically disconnected .
The AC cord should be disconnected from the mains supply when
not in use for long periods .
