• You should use with extreme caution or temporarily
discontinue use in potentially hazardous situations.
Even if your headset is an open-air designed to
let you to hear outside sounds, do not turn up the
volume so high that you are unable to hear what
is around you.
• Excessive sound pressure from earphones and
headphone can cause hearing loss.

Using the AC Adaptor
Using an AC adaptor other than the one supplied with
the unit may damage the unit. This AC adaptor oper-
ates on AC 120V~ 60Hz.

CAUTIONS:
• Before use, ensure the rated voltage of the adaptor
matches your local voltage.
• The included AC adaptor is for use with this unit
only. Do not use it with other equipment.
• If you are not going to use the unit for a long time,
disconnect the AC adaptor from the wall outlet.
• Whenever the AC adaptor is plugged in to a wall
outlet, electricity is running through the unit, even
when the power switch is turned off.
Battery Power
You can insert 6 D-sized alkaline batteries (not supplied)
and can take your stereo just about anywhere. Open
the battery compartment door on the back of the unit
by pressing down on the arrow and pulling out the
cover. Insert batteries in the battery compartment. 3
AA-sized batteries (not supplied) are needed to keep
radio station memory.
General Controls
– To stop CD playback.

– To turn power on or off (STANDBY
mode).

In radio mode – To tune up or down radio frequency.
In CD mode – To search/skip CD track backward or
forward.
SOURCE – To Select among radio, tape, CD and AUX
mode.

PROG / MEM
In radio mode – To set radio preset channels.
In CD mode – To enter program mode.
BAND / MODE
In radio mode – To select radio band.
In CD mode – To select among playback modes (repeat
1 / repeat all / random).
EQ / X-BASS – To select among sound effects (Flat
/ Rock / Jazz / Pop / Classic); press and hold to turn
X-BASS (dynamic bass boost system) On / Off.
VOLUME – To increase / decrease the volume.
PUSH OPEN – To open the CD door.
Cassette Player
REC
– To start tape recording.
PLAY
– To start tape playback.
REW
– To rewind tape.
FWD
– To fast forward tape.
STOP
/ EJECT – To stop tape playback, winding
or recording, open cassette door.
PAUSE
– To pause tape playback, press again to
resume tape playback.
