You can use Time 1 and Time 2 to keep track of the time in
two different time zones.
1. Turn off the radio, then press
TIME 1/2
to select Time 1
or Time 2.

MEM/TIME
. The display flashes.
3. Within 5 seconds, repeatedly press or hold down
HOUR
to set the hour.
4. Repeatedly press or hold down
MIN
to set the minute.

5. To view both time zones while the radio is on, hold
down
TIME 1/2
for 3 seconds. The time zone last
displayed appears.
6. Press
TIME 1/2
again to view the other time zone.

You can use the built-in speaker, or stereo earphones or
headphones (not supplied, available from RadioShack) with
a

-inch plug to listen privately to the radio.
To listen to the radio using earphones or headphones, insert
the earphones/headphones’ plug into the radio’s
V
jack.
This disconnects the built-in speaker.

To protect your hearing, following these guidelines when
you use earphones or headphones.
• Set the volume to the lowest setting before you begin
listening. After you begin listening, adjust the volume to
a comfortable level.
• Do not listen at extremely high volume levels. Extended
high volume listening can lead to permanent hearing
loss.
• Once you set the volume, do not increase it. Over time,
your ears adapt to the volume level, so a volume level
that does not cause discomfort might still damage your
hearing.
