Q5.
I cannot upgrade the firmware.
A5.
Please refer to FAQ at the website, www.pqi.com.tw, to solve any problems. If FAQ is
not helpful, then please request A/S at the website, www.pqi.com.tw.
Q6.
A file in the mPack suddenly disappears, or the content of a file is corrupted.
A6.
This may occur when the file system of the mPack hard disk drive is damaged.
The file system of the hard disk drive can be damaged when the mPack is subjected to
a strong impact, when you disconnect the mPack from a PC without running Safely
Remove Hardware, when you remove a memory card while it is being backed up, or
when you turn the power off while copying, moving or deleting files. If this problem
occurs, run Check Disk on Windows to correct the file system error. If you continue
using the player in the condition as above, you may lose important data.
Q7.
The player is not recognized as a USB mass storage device.
A7.
Check to see if a different USB hard disk drive can be recognized by the PC. If it is also
not recognized, the problem lies in the USB port of the PC.
Q8.
The player turns off during operation.
A8.
First check if the battery charge remaining is sufficient. See A1.
Q9.
The LCD screen is abruptly turned off.
A9.
This product automatically turns the LCD screen off to save power consumption. For
more information, refer to “Setup” on page 111. If this is not the cause of the problem,
turn the mPack off and then turn it on again.
Q10.
I cannot play a movie or music file.
A10.
Try playing a different movie or music file. If this one can be played, the problem lies
in the file. The format of the file is not supported by mPack or the file is corrupted.
Q11.
I set the BGM ON mode, but no background music plays.
A11.
This may happen when BGM Play is set to Off, or no default playlist or default M3U is
set. Set the default M3U and playlist in the Audio menu.
