Use an audio patch cord (not included, available at www.ihomeaudio.com) to play nondocking iPod models or other audio
devices through the iP28 Line-in Jack located on the back of the unit (one end in the device’s line out or headphones jack,
the other in the iP28 line in jack). Make sure there is no iPod docked in the iP28 when using the line-in jack.
a) Press play on your device then press the Button on the iP28.
b) Press the or Button to adjust iP28 volume up or down. You may also need to adjust the volume on your device.
c) Press the OFF/reset Button to turn the iP28 off. Remember to shut off you aux audio device, too.
You can disable the iP28 controls to avoid turning on the device or changing settings while in transit and to save battery
life during extended periods of non-use. To do so, move the Switch (located on the back of the unit) left to the Locked
icon position. A Lock Icon will appear on the display indicating the unit is locked and controls are inactive. Remember
to return the switch to the off position to resume normal operation.
Press the Button located on top of the unit to enable the EXB sound enhancement circuitry. This circuitry is designed
to provide a broader audio image with enhanced low range sound reproduction to bring added life to compressed MP3
files. The EXB icon will appear in the display when EXB is active. Press button again to disable the EXB effect.
