RECORDING A VOICE MESSAGE/FM BROADCAST OR EXTERNAL UNIT
WHILE IN MUSIC MODE: Press the Menu button 1 once; the Main
Menu will appear in the display. Select the Record icon (see left)
using the Skip/Search o 2 or n 3 button, then press the Menu
button 1 again.
WHILE IN FM MODE: Press and hold the Record button for one
second.
Select the desired settings as described below using the
Skip/Search o 2 or n 3 button, then press the Menu button 1 to
change.

Source: Select MIC to record from microphone.
Select Line In to record from an external unit connected to the LINE IN jack (see figure
on the next page).
Select FM to record the internal FM station being broadcast.
Mo/St: Select Stereo or Mono.
Encoding: Select the desired type of encoding (IM ADPCM, MS ADPCM, PCM or MP3.
S-Rate: Select the desired sampling rate (32KHz, 44KHz, 48KHz). The higher the KHz, the
better the quality of the recording, but the larger the file.
Bit Rate: Select the Bit Rate for MP3 only. It is suggested to use 128Kbps.
