TROUBLESHOOTING
Symptom Cause(s) Remedy
No Power The adapter is not
connected to the unit
securely or is not connected
to the power supply.
The battery needs to be
charged.
The unit is turned off.
• Connect the adapter to the DC
input jack securely and then
plug the adapter into an AC
outlet (for the AC/DC power
adapter) or the vehicle DC
accessory socket of a car (for
vehicle DC power adapter).
Charge the battery.
Make sure the unit is turned on.
Picture
There is no picture
displayed on the
connected TV.
The AV cable is not
connected to the unit
securely or is not connected
to the TV.
Connect the optional AV cable
to the AV OUT jack of this unit
securely and then connect the
cable to the AV inputs of the
TV. Set the TV to the correct
AV input.
Sound
There is no sound from
the speakers.
The volume is set to the
lowest level.
The sound is switched off.
The disc is in fast forward/
reverse playback.
The speakers are cut off
when a headphone is
plugged into the headphone
1 jack.
Turn up the volume.
Press MUTE to switch on the
sound.
Press PLAY to resume the
normal playback.
Unplug the headphone and the
sound will output through the
built-in speakers.
Unable to play a disc This disc is placed in the
disc tray in the wrong way.
The disc isn’t compatible
with the unit.
The disc is dirty.
Check that the disc is placed in
the disc tray with its label side
facing up.
Insert a compatible disc.
See page 27.
Clean the disc.
