Use a Disc With a Disc Timer Program:
1. Load the disc with a disc timer program in to the unit.
RESERVED appears in the display panel while the Disc Timer Rec
option automatically switches to ON.
2. Switch the recorder to Standby.
Turn OFF a Disc Timer Program:
1. Press SETUP to display the Setup menu.
If disc timer recording is active, the first menu item is Disc Timer Rec.
2. Highlight Disc Setup from the Setup menu.
3. Set Disc Timer Rec to OFF (from the Basic menu).
4. Press SETUP to exit the Disc Setup menu.
Disc timer recordings become active when a disc with at least one disc timer
program is loaded in to the recorder. Disc timer programs also become
active when the Disc Timer Rec option is set to ON. When a disc timer
program activates, any standard timer recording setting are turned OFF.
Ejecting the disc or changing the Disc Timer Rec option to OFF activates the
standard timer program(s) when available. Loading an unformatted disc or a
disc without a disc timer program deactivates the option.
Note: Disc timer programming is unavailable on a protected disc. For more
information, refer to Chapter 7 EDITING FUNCTIONS & OPTIONS, section 7.4.12

6.1.2 Check Available Disc Space
To confirm that all timer entries will fit on to the loaded disc, follow the
directions below.
1. Load the disc with a disc timer program in to the unit.
RESERVED appears in the display panel while the Disc Timer Rec

2. Press SETUP to access the Setup menu.
3. Confirm that Disc Timer Rec is highlighted on the menu.
4. Press ENTER to access the option.
5. Use the joystick to move up to Confirm.
