4.2.1 Preparing to Disassemble the Printer
Before you disassemble the printer, disconnect the printer’s power cord
and interface cable, and remove any paper loaded in the printer. Then
remove the following parts from the printer:
front edge guide assembly rear tractor assembly bottom cover
rear edge guide assembly paper eject assembly printer cover
front tractor assembly front cover ribbon cartridge
platen knob
Refer to Figure 4-3.
CAUTION
Remove the paper eject assembly. Then remove
the front and rear tractor assemblies by pushing
the tabs to release the hooks on both sides. (See
Figure 4-2 to locate the tabs on the rear tractor.)
When reinstalling the tractors, be sure to snap the
hooks onto the projecting parts.
