• Relative humidity around the switch does not exceed 95 percent
(noncondensing).
• Altitude at the installation site is not higher than 10,000 feet.
• For 10/100 and 10/100/1000 fixed ports, cable lengths from the switch to
connected devices are not longer than 328 feet (100 meters).

Installation Warning Statements
This section includes the basic installation warning statements. Translations of

Information for the Cisco IE 3010 Switch document that is on the documentation
CD.
Warning
This unit is intended for installation in restricted access areas. A restricted
access area can be accessed only through the use of a special tool, lock and
key, or other means of security.

Only trained and qualified personnel should be allowed to install, replace, or
service this equipment.

To prevent the system from overheating, do not operate it in an area that
exceeds the maximum recommended ambient temperature of:
