GETTING STARTED
FM RADIO AERIAL
Before using your unit for FM reception, unwrap and fully
extend the aerial wire. You may need to adjust the position
of the aerial wire for maximum signal strength.
AM RADIO LOOP AERIAL
If you plan to listen to AM radio stations, you will need to
assemble and connect the AM loop aerial.
Assembling the AM aerial:
The aerial stand is 1.
located inside the
loop aerial.
Fold the stand outside 2.

Raise the loop to a 3.

tuck the clips on the
loop into the slots in
the base.

Connecting the AM aerial:
The bare wire ends from the AM aerial connect to the two
terminals on the back panel marked AM ANTENNA.
Place the AM aerial in a convenient location, standing on •
its base.
Hold the latch down and •
insert one of the bare wire
ends from the AM aerial
into an AM ANTENNA
terminal (polarity is not
important).
Release the latch to •
secure the wire.
Connect the second aerial •
wire to the other terminal
in the same way.
Stand
Placement of the AM aerial:
The AM aerial is very sensitive to position. If possible, position
it away from electronic equipment and metal objects. It may
be necessary to adjust or rotate the aerial for the best signal.
BACKUP BATTERIES
Backup batteries may be tted to your photo frame. With
backup batteries tted, the unit will retain time and alarm
settings.
The backup battery compartment is located on the back of
the unit.
To t a backup battery:
Referring to the drawing, locate the battery compartment 1.
and press the catch down to open the door.
Lift out the battery cover.2.
Fit 2 x AAA batteries, observing polarity as shown.3.
Replace the battery cover.4.
Battery disposal:
Dispose of used batteries with regard to the recycling
regulations in your area. Do NOT short circuit batteries or
throw them into water, the general rubbish or in a re.
Weak batteries can leak and damage the unit. Replace them
in good time!
