CARE AND CLEANING
All care and cleaning operations should be carried out with
the unit unplugged from the mains power.
The surface of the unit can be cleaned with a barely damp
cloth and then dried carefully. Never use abrasives, abrasive
cloths or chemical solvents .

TROUBLESHOOTING
Poor quality radio reception
The aerial signal may not be adequate. Try repositioning the
telescopic aerial (FM band) or rotating the unit (AM band).
Skipping when playing a CD/CD-ROM
The CD playing surface may be dirty or marked with nger
prints. Try cleaning the CD with a CD cleaner.
Music les from a computer will not play
The music les may not be a compatible format. Check that
they are MP3 or WMA format.
The music les may be protected WMA les. If so, these will
be skipped during play.
Poor quality sound when playing cassettes
The cassette tape head may be dirty. Use a tape head cleaning
kit to clean the tape head.
The cassette RECORD key will not depress
The cassette may be a pre-recorded music cassette or
another cassette with the record protection tab removed. Use
a dierent cassette for the recording or use adhesive tape to
defeat the record protection (see page 10).
