Changing the tuning interval
You can change the frequency range and the tuning interval by selecting the area code.

Press and hold x/RADIO OFF until the frequency indication flashes in the
display.

Slide the jog lever toward >/F+ repeatedly until the area code you want
appears in the display.
The area code appears in the display in the
order of “J” t “U” t “E”.
“J” area: Japan
“U” area: the U.S.A. and Canada
“E” area: other countries

After the area code you want appears in the display, press and hold x/RADIO
OFF until the frequency indication appears in the display again.
The new area setting is stored in memory. This setting will not change even if you turn off
the radio and then turn it on again.
