To perform the following operations
Pause Press x.

Go backward Press . and hold.
Go forward Press > and hold.
Adjust the volume Press + or –.
Locking the controls (Hold)
To prevent the controls from being accidentally operated when you carry the
player, use the HOLD function.
Slide the HOLD switch of the Audio Adapter to ON.
None of the controls on the Audio Adapter will operate.
If you set the HOLD switch on the Audio Adapter to ON, you can control
your CLIÉ handheld by using its buttons.
