This productmay be equippedwith a polarized
alternating-current lineplug (a plughaving one bladewider than theother). This plugwill fit intothe

outlet, tryreversing the plug.If the plugshould still failto fit, contactyour electrician toreplace your

of protectivedevice. If replacementof the plugis required, besure the servicetechnician has used
a replacementplug specified bythe manufacturer thathas the sameoverload protection asthe
original plug.
If anoutside antenna isconnected to thereceiver,be sure
the antennasystem is groundedso as toprovide some protectionagainst voltage surgesand
built-up staticcharges.Article 810 ofthe National ElectricalCode,ANSI/NFPA70, provides
information withregard to propergrounding of themast and supportingstructure, grounding ofthe
mast andsupporting structure, groundingof the lead-inwire to anantenna-discharge unit, sizeof
grounding conductors,location of antenna-dischargeunit, connection togrounding electrodes,
and requirementsfor the groundingelectrode.

For addedprotection for thisproduct during alightning storm, orwhen it isleft
unattended andunused for longperiods of time,unplug it fromthe wall outletand disconnect the
antenna orcable system. This will preventdamage to theproduct due tolightning and power-line
surges.
An outsideantenna system shouldnot be locatedin the vicinityof overhead
power linesor other electriclight or powercircuits, or whereit can fallinto such powerlines or
circuits. Wheninstalling an outsideantenna system, extremecare should betaken to keepfrom
touching suchpower lines orcircuits as contactwith them mightbe fatal.
Do notoverload wall outlets,extension cords, orintegral convenience
receptacles asthis can resultin a riskof fire orelectric shock.
Never pushobjects of anykind into thisproduct through openings
as theymay touch dangerousvoltage points orshort-out parts thatcould result ina fire orelectric
shock. Neverspill liquid ofany kind onthe product.
Do notattempt to servicethis product yourselfas opening orremoving covers may
