TROUBLESHOOTING
With proper care and handling, your CD player should give you years of trouble-
free service. However, if your CD player is not working properly, follow these sug-
gestions to see if you can eliminate the problem. If you still have a problem, take
the CD player to your local RadioShack store for assistance.

Hold function is active. Set

No power. Check the batteries or
adapter.
CD is loaded, but it does
not start.
CD is loaded upside
down.
Reload the CD, label side
up.
CD is dirty. Clean the CD or try a differ-
ent CD. See “CD Care Tips”
on Page 20.
The sound skips. CD is dirty or scratched. Clean the CD or try a differ-
ent CD. See “CD Care Tips”
on Page 20.
Vibration is heavy. Try not to vibrate the CD
player.
Try activating the anti-shock
system. (CD-3640 only)
Moisture condenses on
the pickup lens.
Wait 1 hour for the moisture
to evaporate.
