Using Daily Timer
With Daily Timer, you can wake up to your favorite music
or radio program.
You can set Daily Timer whether the unit is turned on or in
standby mode.
• To return to the previous screen any time during the
process, press CANCEL.
How Daily Timer actually works
“DAILY TIMER STANDBY” starts flashing in the main
display about one minute before the timer on-time (the
DAILY indicator also starts flashing). When the timer on-
time comes, the unit starts playing the specified source at
the specified volume level. Then, when the timer off-time
comes, “DAILY TIMER OFF” flashes, and the unit
automatically turns off (on standby).
• Daily Timer setting remains stored in memory until you
reset it or unplug the AC power cord.
On the remote control ONLY:

Press CLOCK/TIMER repeatedly until “DAILY
TIMER SET UP” appears in the main display.
The DAILY indicator starts flashing on the display.

Press SET.
The timer on-time setting screen appears. The hour
digit of the timer on-time starts flashing.
• If you have set the timer before, the previously set
timer on-time will appear (instead of “– – : – –”).

Set the timer on-time.
1) Press SELECT ¢ or SELECT 4 to adjust the
hour, then press SET.
The minute digit starts flashing.
2) Press SELECT ¢ or SELECT 4 to adjust the
minute, then press SET.
The timer off-time setting screen appears.

Set the timer off-time.
1) Press SELECT ¢ or SELECT 4 to adjust the
hour, then press SET.
The minute digit starts flashing.
2) Press SELECT ¢ or SELECT 4 to adjust the
minute, then press SET.
The playback source setting screen appears.

Select the source to play.
1) Press SELECT ¢ or SELECT 4 to select the
source.
• Each time you press the button, the sources
change as follows:

When you select “– – – – –,” the unit starts playing
the last selected source when the unit is turned off.
When you select “FM?” or “AM?,” press SELECT
¢ or SELECT 4 again to select a preset channel
number, then press SET.
• If you select “– –,” the last received station will be
tuned in.
When you select “CD?,” press SELECT ¢ or
SELECT 4 again to select a track you want to start
playback with, then press SET.
• If you select “– –,” playback starts with the first
track.
When you select “HDD?,”
1 Press SELECT ¢ or SELECT 4 to select an
album, then press SET.
• If you select “– – –,” the last played album will
be selected.
2 Press SELECT ¢ or SELECT 4 to select a
track, then press SET.
• If you select “– – –,” playback starts with the
first track of the last selected album.
When you select the external component (such as
“LINE”), prepare an external equipment with the
timer function.
The volume setting screen appears.
