SETUP & OPERATIONS
Listening to your iPod
1. Dock the already playing iPod. i177 will automatically turn on, and you will hear the music playing from your iPod.
Note: If the playing song/music is too low, i177 may not detect iPod is in the play mode. Press the PLAY/PAUSE button on i177 (or
PLAY/PAUSE button on the remote control) twice to play it in this case.
2. When iPod is docked and in the standby mode, press the PLAY/PAUSE button on i177 (or PLAY/PAUSE button on the remote control) to
play it. The iPod icon will appear on the LCD screen of i177, showing that iPod is in the playing mode.
3. Press the PLAY/PAUSE button again to pause the play, and press again to resume the play.
4. Turn the VOLUME wheel on i177 (or VOLUME+ and VOLUME- button on the remote control) to adjust the system volume.
5. Press the or button on the remote control to go to the next or previous track. Press and hold the or button while track is
playing for high speed forward or rewind to search the current track.
6. To turn off the unit, press the POWER OFF button or POWER ON/OFF button on the remote control. iPod will continue charging while in
the docking station.
7. The unit may not operate if iPod is in Pause mode. Press the Play/Pause button on i-177 or iPod to initiate the play mode.
Listening to a non-docking iPod or other portable audio devices
If you are using a non-docking iPod or other MP3 player or other portable audio device, you can still play it through i177 via the line-in jack.
Note: To use the line-in jack, make sure no iPod is docked in i177.
1. Plug one end of the audio patch cord (included) into the headphone or line-out jack on your device and the other end of the patch cord
into the i177 line-in jack, located on the back of the unit.
2. Press the PLAY/PAUSE button on i177 (or PLAY/PAUSE button on the remote control.) The AUX icon will appear, indicating that i177 is
in the AUX mode.
3. Turn on and play your device.
4. Use the VOLUME wheel on i177 (or Volume + and Volume – button on the remote control) to adjust the system volume. You may need
to adjust your device volume too.
5. To turn off the unit, press the POWER OFF button (or POWER ON/OFF button on the remote control.) Please remember to turn off your
device too.
