The open or closed mode is set in each channel storage
bank.

is displayed under the channel storage
bank’s number while scanning. Or, the status display
shows the
OPEN/CLOSED
mode at the top line while the
scanner is in manual mode or while the scanner is receiv-
ing a signal during scanning.
When no ID code is programmed into the scanner, it re-
ceives the signal in PL, DPL, LTR, MOT, or ED mode
without regarding the open or closed mode. The scanner
displays the detected ID code.
Changing the Open/Closed Mode
To change the OPEN/CLOSED mode, follow these steps:
1. Press
MANUAL

2. To select the channel-storage bank, press
FUNC

appears.
4. After that message disappears, the 10th right most
digit at the top of the line of the display changes from

5. Repeat Steps 2–4 for each bank.
Mode Open Closed
PL and DPL Accepts any PL and

Accepts only the PL
