Summary of Storage Device Manager Functions
• Create or modify a project.
• Download files to a printer.
• Add or remove printers being administered.
• Reboot the printer.
• Manage the Proof & Print and Secure Print spooler queues on the
internal hard disk drive.
• Delete files from the internal hard disk drive or from the flash
memory.
• View the status, configuration and variables for a printer.
• Print the PCL fonts list, or PostScript font list from a printer.
• Test print downloaded PCL format macros or PostScript forms
(Overlays).
NOTE
The hard disk drive does not communicate directly back to
the Storage Device Manager software; it sends any error
messages to the printer display. If things seems to be
“stuck,” go to the printer and check the display.
