240 Avaya Application Solutions IP Telephony Deployment Guide
TN799DP Control LAN (C-LAN)
The C-LAN circuit pack interface not only supports signaling for IP Telephony applications, but
also supports asynchronous links to INTUITY AUDIX, Call Management System (CMS), and
other adjuncts. This interface
● Is independent of the Media Gateway.
● Has no IP link back to the central administration or maintenance processes of
Communication Manager.
● Successfully survives DoS attacks created by the SynFlood tools.
● Maintains the IP endpoint RAS authentication sequence, a safeguard against exploiting
toll services through IP endpoints.
