Setting Up Captions (On-Screen Text Messages)
A “caption” is text that is sometimes broadcast with a digital TV program.
(Example: A printed version of the dialogue, additional narration, or a translation into a
foreign language.)
How to Activate or Deactivate the On-screen Captions

Press the MENU button on the remote control.

Push the I-Point control up or
down to highlight the “Setup”
icon and press ENTER.

Push the I-Point control up or
down to highlight “Closed
Caption” and press ENTER.
Repeatedly press enter to
alternate between “On” and
“Off”.

Press EXIT.
(Note: Availability of captions depends on the particular pro-
gram being broadcast.)
NOTES
In Caption On, press the CAPTION button on the remote control to
choose an available language or CC1, CC2, CC3, or CC4.
