AUXIL IAR Y INP UT
This model provides an auxiliary audio signal input for connecting an external audio device.
You may connect an audio cable with 3.5 mm stereo plug (included) to the AUX IN J ack located on
the back of the main unit or on the back of the docking cradle. C onnect the other end of the cable to
the Line Out J ack or Headphone J ack of your MP 3 player, C D player and other non-dockable iP ods.
You can now listen to your external source through the speakers of this system.
1. C onnecting an audio cable with 3.5 mm stereo plug to the AUX IN J ack on the model.
Two options are available for the system set-up.
(a) Directly connect the audio cable from an external audio device to the AUX IN jack located on
the back of the main unit.
Note: In this method, your iP od docking cradle cannot used or connected to main unit.
(b) C onnect an audio cable from an external audio device to the AUX IN jack located on the back
of the docking cradle.
(1) S lide the Audio Input S elector switch to AUX IN position.
(2) Insert the " Dock C over" (included) into the cradle to create a holder for your player.
(3) Small portable players can now be placed in the cradle without damaging the iPod connector.
2. C onnect the other end of the cable to the Line Out J ack or Headphone J ack of your external audio
device.
3. Turn on the external audio device.
4. The volume level can now be controlled using the main unit.
Operate all other functions on the attached auxiliary device as your normally would.
(2) Press the O N /S TA N DB Y button to turn off the unit when you finish listening.
Don't forget to switch off the power of your external device as well.
Note:
(1) If your connected using the Line Out J ack of your external device, then you can only adjust the
volume using the JiSS-550 control. If your connected using the Headphone J ack of your external
device, then you may need to adjust both the volume controls (JiSS-550 and external device) to
get the best volume level.

S UB WOOFE R OUTP UT
This unit provides a seperate subwoofer output jack for connecting an external active (self-powered)
subwoofer speaker (not included). This will enhance and expand your sound by adding an extra
deep rich bass channel to the unit. The S ubwoofer Output J ack is located on the back of the main unit.
C AR E AND MAINTE NANC E
- Do not subject the unit to excessive force, shock, dust or extreme temperature.
- Do not tamper the internal components of the unit.
- Clean your unit with a damp (never wet) cloth. Solvent or detergent should never be used.
- Avoid leaving your unit in direct sunlight or in hot, humid or dusty places.
- Keep your unit away from heating appliances and sources of electrical noise such as fluorescent lamps
or motors.
