DVD PLAYER OPERATION
SUBTITLE SELECTION
You can select the desired subtitle language for discs with subtitles
recorded in multiple languages.
1. While a DVD is playing, press
SUBTITLE to view the current
language setting.
2. Repeatedly press
SUBTITLE to select a language or turn the
subtitles off.
H
OFF appears when subtitles are off.
Notes:
The number of languages recorded differs depending on the
disc. If only one language is available, the language does not
change.
If no button is pressed within a few seconds, playback continues
without changing the current subtitle.
You can also change the subtitle using the Special Functions. See
“Subtitle Setting” on Page 13.
On some DVDs, subtitles are activated from the DVD’s main
menu. Press
MENU to activate the main menu.

ISPLAY FUNCTION
This function allows you to view and change the current angle,
audio, and subtitle settings.
While the disc is playing, press
DISPLAY twice. ANGLE, AUDIO, and
SUBTITLE appear.
From this screen, you can view and change the Angle, Audio, and
Subtitle settings.
Angle Setting
1. Press DISPLAY twice. The function menu appears on the screen.
2. Press
ANGLE repeatedly to select the desired angle.
Note: If a disc with only one available angle is selected,
=Angle1/1 appears.
3. Press
DISPLAY to return to the normal screen.
Notes:
If no button is pressed within 10 seconds, playback continues
without changing the current angle.
The player automatically returns to the default angle when the
current scene with multiple angles has finished.
Audio Setting
1. Press DISPLAY twice. The function menu appears on the screen.
2. Repeatedly press
AUDIO to select the desired audio setting.
Note: The available settings depend on the audio options
included on your disc.
3. Press
DISPLAY to return to the normal screen.
Subtitle Setting
1. Press DISPLAY twice. The function menu appears on the screen.
2. Repeatedly press
SUBTITLE to select the desired language. The
player changes to the selected language about three seconds
later.
Note: When a disc with only one subtitle is selected,

appears.
3. Press
DISPLAY to return to the normal screen.
GOTO FUNCTION
This function allows you to skip directly to any part of the disc while
a disc is playing.
Note: To return to the normal screen while setting, press
GOTO.
Locating a Specific Scene (DVD/CD)
You can move to a specific location on the disc by entering its
corresponding time (hours, minutes, and seconds).
1. Press
GOTO.
2. Press
, , , or to highlight TIME.
3. Press the corresponding number buttons to enter the time and
start playback.
4. Press
ENTER to confirm. Playback begins in about three
seconds.
Locating a Specific Title (DVD)
If a DVD disc contains title numbers, you can locate a specific title by
directly selecting a title number.
1. Press
GOTO.
2. Press
, , , or to highlight TITLE and press the
corresponding number button(s) to select the desired title.
3. Press
ENTER to confirm. Playback begins in about three
seconds.
4. Press
CLEAR to reset the title number.
