equipment engine owner, you should be
aware that POULAN/WEED EATER may
denyyouwarrantycoverageifyourlawnand
garden equipment engine ora partof ithas
failedduetoabuse,neglect,impropermain-
tenance, unapproved modifications, or the
use of parts not made or approved by the
original equipment manufacturer. You are
responsible for presenting your lawn and
garden equipment engine to a POULAN/
WEED EATER authorized repair center as
soonasaproblemexists.Warrantyrepairs
shouldbecompletedinareasonableamount
of time,not toexceed 30days. If youhave
anyquestionsregardingyourwarrantyrights
andresponsibilities,youshouldcontactyour

1--800--554--6723. WARRANTY COM-
MENCEMENTDATE:The warrantyperiod
begins on the date the lawn and garden
equipment engine ispurchased. LENGTH
OFCOVERAGE:Thiswarrantyshallbefor
a period of two yearsfrom theinitial dateof
purchase. WHAT IS COVERED: REPAIR
ORREPLACEMENTOFPARTS.Repairor
replacement of any warranted part will be
performed at no charge to the owner at an
approved POULAN/WEED EATER servic-
ingcenter.Ifyouhaveanyquestionsregard-

RIOD: Any warranted part which is not
scheduled for replacement as required
maintenance,orwhichisscheduledonlyfor
regular inspection to the effectof “repairor
replaceasnecessary”shallbewarrantedfor
2years.Anywarrantedpartwhichissched-
uled for replacement as required mainte-
nance shall be warranted for the period of
time up to the first scheduled replacement
pointforthatpart. DIAGNOSIS:Theowner
shall not be charged for diagnostic labor
whichleadstothedeterminationthat awar-
rantedpartisdefectiveifthediagnosticwork
is performed at an approved POULAN/
WEED EATER servicing center. CONSE-
QUENTIAL DAMAGES: POULAN/WEED
EATER may be liable for damages toother
enginecomponentscausedbythefailureof
awarrantedpartstillunderwarranty.WHAT
IS NOT COVERED: All failures caused by
abuse, neglect, or improper maintenance
arenot covered.ADD--ON ORMODIFIED
PARTS:Theuseofadd--onormodifiedparts
can be grounds for disallowing a warranty
claim. POULAN/WEED EATER is notliable
tocoverfailuresofwarranted partscaused
by the use of add--on or modified parts.
