Vocal partner
With this function, when you sing, the recorded sing-
er’s voice cuts out. If you stop singing, the singer’s voice
cuts back in. This is a handy function when practicing
new songs and duets alone.
<With DVDs >
Press the VOCAL PARTNER button.
¶ To switch OFF, press the button again.
<With multiplex karaoke CDs and Video CDs >
Press the VOCAL PARTNER button twice.
¶ To switch OFF, continue pressing the button until the indica-
tor disappear.
¶ With CDs and Video CDs, the mode changes as follows when you
press the VOCAL PARTNER or ONE-TOUCH KARAOKE buttons.

are OFF, and you can hear a Guide Vocal from
the right channel, press the ONE-TOUCH
KARAOKE button twice to switch it OFF.

When One-Touch Karaoke and Vocal Partner are
OFF, and you can hear a Guide Vocal from the
left and right channels, press the ONE-TOUCH
KARAOKE button once to switch it OFF.
¶ You can change the vocal partner volume level with the Direction
buttons (2 3 ) by displaying "VOLUME" on the screen by pressing
the GUIDE VOCAL button.
¶ With some discs, even when you sing, the recorded singer’s voice
volume level does not decrease.
¶ With DVDs, the VOCAL PARTNER function operates with the Guide
vocal selected with VOCAL PARTNER button.
