Opening the drum door in the
event of a blocked drain outlet
and/or power failure

Switch the washing machine off.
1. Drain the machine
If the drain outlet is blocked, (up to 25
litres) of water will be retained in the
machine.

Caution: if laundry has been
washed at a high temperature, water
draining out of the machine will still
be hot. Danger of scalding!

Use a screwdriver to open the flap in
the machine plinth.
^
Pull the flap and the drain hose
attached to it out of the machine.
^
Point the drain hose into a suitable
container.
^
Remove the stopper.
^
Once the flow of water ceases,
replace the stopper in the end of the
hose.
