Ready
The Ready indicatoris displayed at theend of the Charge Only process.
The LCD indicates:
l The chargingis complete and the battery is ready for use (READY).
l The battery voltage aftercharge(8.4V). This reading can vary between8.3V and 8.5V.
Analyze
Initial Charge
When a battery is in the charge/analyze pocket and the analyze dome switch has beenpressed within 15 seconds of inserting
the battery, the analyze process is started. The first step of the analysis process is to charge the battery, which may take upto
four hours.
The LCD indicates a rounded off version of voltage and:
l The battery is charging, indicated by theword CHARGE on the screen.
l This is the first chargecycle in theanalyze process, indicated by the number 1on the screen.
l The battery is under analysis, indicated by the word ANALYZE on the screen.
l The battery voltage underchargeis displayed (7.2V).
l The voltage could be lowerthan 5.9V if the battery is allowed to get severely depleted. Lowest numberwould be 4.6V
and the highest number would be 8.5V.
Discharge
The next step in theanalysis is the automatic discharging of the battery pack. The discharge requires 4.5 to 5 hours.
The LCD indicates:
l The battery is discharging, indicatedby the word DISCHARGE on thescreen.
l This is the first (and only) discharge cycle, indicated by the number 1onthe screen.
l The battery is under analysis, indicated by the word ANALYZE on the screen.
l The battery capacity as measured during the discharge is displayed (2100mAh).
l The battery voltage underdischargeis displayed (7.2 V). This can vary from 5.9 V to 8.5 V.
