Selecting a Paper Source
There are two ways to select the printer’s paper source.
❏ Access the printer driver, click the
Basic Settings
tab, and
select the paper source that you want to use from the Paper
Source list. Then click
OK
.
❏ Access SelecType mode on the printers control panel and
select the paper source that you want to use in Paper Source
items. (See Chapter 2.)
Auto selection
If you select
Auto Selection
from the printer driver or Auto from
the SelecType mode, the paper source that contains paper
matching the page size setting will be used.
When there is no paper in the selected paper source, the printer
will search for a paper source containing the same-size paper in
the following order:
Lower paper cassette (LC1)
Paper cassette 1 on Large Capacity Paper Unit (LC2)
Paper cassette 2 on Large Capacity Paper Unit (LC3)
Paper cassette 3 on Large Capacity Paper Unit (LC4)
MP tray
Note:
If you make paper-size settings or paper source settings in your
application software, these settings may override the printer driver
settings.
