When it comes time to replace the remote’s battery, use only a major brand name 3V Lithium
battery compatible with model CR2025. Slide the battery cover off and install the new battery
with the positive “+” side facing up.
Using the Alarm:
TO SET THE ALARM TIME: (the clock must be set before the alarm can be set.) Briefl y press
the Alarm Button. The ALARM icon will fl ash on the display. Then press and hold the clock
set button until a beep indicates that you’re in the set mode and the hour will fl ash (Fig. 11).
Rotate the Tune knob (which also determines AM or PM) clockwise to increase hour, counter
clockwise to decrease the hour. There is no “AM” designation for morning hours. Now press
the Tune knob in to set the hour, and then adjust the minutes in the same manner (Fig. 12).
The minutes will not affect the hour setting. Press the Tune knob again to save the settings
(Fig. 13). Press the Alarm button briefl y to see the current Alarm time. The “ALARM” icon will
blink when displaying alarm time.
Note: Non-US models use a 24-hour clock format.
TO SET THE ALARM TO WAKE: Set the iYiYi sound system to the FM or AM station you wish
to wake to that will be broadcasting during the time you wish to wake (or set to Aux to wake
to a pleasant increasing beep) and adjust the volume level to your preferred level to awake.
(The beep volume level is not adjustable.) Press and hold the Alarm button. A beep will sound
confi rming the Alarm is set to wake and the word “Alarm” will show on the display along with
the time the alarm is set to. Turn the system Off before retiring. When the alarm activates the
ALARM icon will fl ash.
Should you opt to wake to the beep, the beep will sound for 60 seconds, then pause for 60
seconds, then resume for another 60 seconds. This pattern will repeat for up to one hour or
until the Alarm button is pressed. When waking to the radio or your iPod, if the unit is not
turned off, the sound will play for one hour, after which the unit will automatically shut off. To
wake to your iPod, follow the steps above but set the source to iPod and have an iPod resting
in the dock.
TO RE-SET THE ALARM FOR THE NEXT DAY: After the alarm activates, press the Alarm
button to re-set the alarm for the following day. “OFF” and “ALARM” will fl ash on the display,
the system will shut off, and the current time will be displayed.
