The resume function is working. To start play from the first track,
press N/> for 2 seconds or more, or open the lid of the CD
player. Or remove all power sources, then insert the batteries or
connect the AC power adaptor again.

c The CD player is reading the information on the CD. It is not
malfunctioning.
