POWER SOURCE
This radio is designed to operate on normal 120V 60Hz AC power only. Do not
attempt to operate the radio on any other power source. You could cause damage
to the radio that is not covered by your warranty.
This radio should be connected to an AC out let that is always 'live'. Do not connect
it to an outlet that is controlled by a wall switch. When the power to the radio is
interrupt ed, the Sure Alarm battery back up system takes over to maintain the time
and alarm settings. To maximize the life of the back up battery, keep the radio
connected to a 'live' AC outlet at all times.
This radio uses a polarized AC plug which has one blade wider that the other. Thi s
plug will only fit into a polarized AC outlet. Thi s is a safety feature. If the plug will not
fit, you may hav e an older non-polarized AC outlet. Do not defeat the safety feat ure
by trying to file the wider blade, or replacing the plug. Cont act an electrician to
replace your outdated outlet.
