• The mini USB plugs are marked L (left) and R (right). Connect the proper
mini-USB plug to the input jack on each speaker.
• Connect the stereo 3.5mm audio plug to the headphone jack or line-out of
any audio device.
• Slide the Power Switch of each speaker to the ON position. The blue
Power/Charging Indicator LED on the speaker will come on.
• Press play on your audio device and adjust its volume to listen to audio.
• When you are through listening, turn each speaker OFF to save battery life.
Note: the larger USB plug is used for charging only, not for audio. Please refer
to next section for charging instructions
The iK8 is powered by a rechargeable battery in each speaker. When the
blue power light dims, or if you start to notice sound distortion at higher
volumes, it's time to recharge the batteries.
• Connect the larger USB plug to a powered USB port, such as that on a
computer. The Power/Charging Indicator LED on the speaker will turn red
while charging and turn blue when fully charged.
Note: you can continue to listen to the speakers while they are charging
Charging the iK8

The unit includes a travel case that doubles as a stand for your Kindle Fire
®
or other tablet or device. Reverse these steps to repack for travel.
To use as a stand:
a. Press in on center of the case where indicated to release the lid from the
base.
b. Remove speakers. Remove cables from compartment in top of case.
c. Place base of case upside down on flat, stable surface with tab facing
forward.
d. Slide the top (iHome brand badge facing upwards) onto the tab on the
bottom/stand.
e. Place Kindle Fire into groove. For best stability, position Kindle Fire/tablet in
landscape mode.
