BatteryReplacement
TheVB300doesnotlose its sto redreadings when th ebattery expires or when the
batteryisreplaced.Thedataloggingprocesswillhoweverbestoppedandcannotbe
re‐started until the battery has been replaced and the logged dat a has been
downloadedtoPC.
Thebatterylifeis
ratedforapprox.1000hours.Ifindoubt,replacethebatterybefore
logging critical data. Use only 3.6V lithium batteries. Before replacing the battery,
removethedataloggerfromthePC.
Note: When the VB300 is connected to the USB port, its battery discharges at a
higher rate than normal. To
conserve battery life, do not leave the VB300
connectedtotheUSBportforaprolongedperiodoftime.
1. RemovethetwoPhillipsscrewsidentifiedwiththetwosmallerarrowsinthe
diagrambelow.
2. Slidethebatterycompartmentcoverinthedirectionofthelargerarrow.
3. Replace
thebatterywithoneofthesametype(3.6Vlithium,½AA1.0Ah,Saft
LS‐14250orequiv).
4. Closethebatterycompartmentandtightenwiththetwoscrews.
WARNING: Handle lithium batteries carefully, observe warnings on battery casing.
Disposeofinaccordancewithlocalregulations.
