CARE AND M AINTENANCE
Mains Plug (For UK Only)
The Mains lead supplied with this apparatus is fitted with a standard 13-Amp plug
(BS.1363) which is fitted with a 3 Amp fuse. When changing or examining the
fuse, the correct 3 Amp fuse – ASTA or BSI approved (BS.1362) must be fitted.
The 13-Amp plug is the most widely used in the UK and should be suitable for
most users.
However some locations (mainly older buildings) may not be equipped with normal
13-Amp sockets. In such cases it is recommended that a suitable plug adapter be
purchased from you dealer (rather than remove the plug). However, should you
decide to change the plug, please follow the instructions below:
IMPORTANT
The wires in the Mains load are coloured in accordance with the following
code:
Brown : Live.
Blue : Neutral.
As the colours of the wires in the Mains load of this apparatus may not correspond
with the coloured markings identifying the terminals in your plug, proceed as follows:
The wire which is colored BLUE must be connected to the terminal which is
marked with the letter “Nor coloured black.
The wire which is coloured BROWN must be connected to the terminal which is
marked with the letter “Lor coloured red.
DO NOT MAKE ANY CONNECTION TO THE LARGER PIN MARKED WITH
THE LETTER EOR BY THE SYMBOL OR COLOURED GREENOR
GREEN-AND-YELLOW”.
