SLEEP Timer
You can fall asleep to the radio or CD player and the sleep timer will shut the
system off automatically after up to 99 minutes of music.
Sleep To Radio
Set the function selector switch ( CD/FM AUTO/AM)totheFM AUTO or AM position.
Press the SLEEP button on the top panel. The SLEEP
indicator comes ' 'On ' 'On
''On
and the radio turns
Select the desired station and volume level. The radio will shut off automatically
after 3 0 minutes. To shut off the radio sooner press the SNOOZE button or the
POWER ON/OFF button.
Sleep To CD
Set the function selector switch (CD/FM AUTO/AM)totheCD position.
Insert a CD in the player. Press the SLEEP
button on the top panel and then press the
PLAY/PAUSE
button. The SLEEP and
PLAY/PAUSE indicators come . The CD
begins to play.
The CD player will shut off automatically after 30 minutes, or after the last track
has played, whichever comes first.
To shut off the CD player sooner press the STOP
button, the SNOOZE button or
the POWER ON/OFF button.

Adjusting The Length of The Sleep Timer
The sleep timer default setting is 30 minutes but it can be adjusted downward or
upward to a maximum of 99 minutes.
Depress and hold the SLEEP button. The display will
show ìL:30î indicating that the power will shut off
after 30 minutes.
To adjust t he sleep time continue holding the SLEEP button and depress the SKIP
FWD.
or SKIP REV. buttons on the front panel until the display shows the
desired sleep timer length.
Notes:
1.) When y ou change the sleep timer setting, y our new setting becomes the default
setting.
For example if you change the s leep timer setting from 30 minutes to 45 minutes,
each time you press the SLEEP button the system will operate f or 45 minutes.
(Exception: If you have a power failure and there is no back up battery
installed, or the back up battery is dead, the sleep timer will return to the
original 30 minute default setting when the power is restored.)
2.) If the sleep timer is set for 60 minutes but your CD is only 45 m inutes long the
player will shut off at the end of the disc.
