I would like to know what the plug-in for on the back end of the player is used for ? It say's "Line Out"

5 The port in the back--the Line Out--is for connecting the CD Player to an external speaker or sound system. This works especially in cars' digital stereos. To do this: 1. Buy an audio cable. 2. Plug one end of audio cable to the CD player's Line Out port. 3. Plug other end of cable to car stereo's audio port. 4. Turn both CD player and car stereo ON. 5. On car stereo, select AUX to enable it to play from its AUX port. 6. Play the CD and adjust car stereo's volume control.
