My display is too dark is there any way to increase the brightness?

5 What worked for my Sony Dream Machine ICF-C218. 1. Take out battery underneath unit. 2. Unplug alarm from outlet for a few seconds 3. Plug back in. The display should be noticeably brighter. This must reset the unit back to factory brightness. Also, the alarm kept my settings. :) 4. Put back in old battery, if preferred. Notice, there is a low battery light indicator on the alarm, no need to replace the battery unless dead. Also, there may be a dim button sequence that is not mentioned in the PDF.

5 i went throught the same problem and figured it out, disconnect the device and fip it over, on the bottom there is a little cover, unscrew it and you will see a battery, i replaced that battery, connected the device again and got a shiny display again, hope it helps you.

2 Press the snooze button 4 times. The display toggles between lo/high brightness. ;-).

0 Thanks Jose That did the trick. It seems strange they rely on a battery to regulate the brightness as it should be for backup only. Bad design! My previous model had a brightness adjustment.
