The ManualsOnline team has found the manual for this product! We hope it helps solve your problem. Get the Manual Here
0 I also received it for Christmas! I thought that once you used a Sony you could never go back, and that was that. To put it simply, it is NOT user-friendly at all! It has many features (such as an e-book feature and one in which it displays the song lyrics) but the actual music feature left me disappointed. For one, switching tracks is a nightmare! You pause the song, press the "M" and scroll and scroll until you find the folder you want, and scroll until you find the song you want. God forbid you never put your songs in folders! I'll salute you if you manage to find your song after that. And the volume? Oh, it's fine... but you can't mess with it when no music is playing. Really sucks if you like your music low and the last person to use it liked hearing loss. You can't change the volume if the song you're listening to has lyrics, either. And don't get me started on the Shuffle feature! It repeats the songs (it also seems to enjoy playing your least favorite ones...) so that if you're not keen on listening to Celine Dion (assuming you haven't deleted that song yet...) four times in a row, you'd better love the order of the songs on the mp3. I could go on and on (did I mention how long it takes to PAUSE a song? Or how many useful nuggets of information are passed on through speech in the two seconds it takes to push the pause button? Or the startup time?) but I'll leave you with that... if you're in it for the music. I've found the ebook, photo and video features to work awesomely... but I find I never read full books not on paper, (I've never read more than the demo in there, but it looks useful for studying...) rarely watch ANY videos unrelated to music (I have all the music I need in the music section) and don't find the idea of looking at things in a three-inch screen appealing (again I've only used the demo). Hopefully you'll have a more positive view on it, 'cause like I said, once you use a Sony Walkman (I swear, man, that battery lasted for WEEKS!), you can never go back... Sorry that was long, but it's hard to give it better reviews when there is THAT much wrong with it. Maybe the next upgrade (if existent) will fix all that.
