I bought a polaroid pmp80-4 yesterday and it only powers on and plays songs when connected to the laptop also the red light supposedly showing the charging status goes on and off

0 I have the same mp3 player, PMP80-4, and I can't find a users' manual anywhere, how do you make it shuffle through the songs instead of just going straight through the list?
