Hello, I recently purchased the above unit and have been trying to connect a USB Hard Drive to the unit. I have tried the following methods. 1) Just the HDD connected to the Head Unit. 2) Connect the HDD to the Head Unit with a USB Power Source(1A rating) using the power split adaptors. 3) Do not use the extension cable that comes with the unit(eg. use the above two methods but directly into the small connector at the back of the drive) In all cases I receive the error "Error - 23". I have formatted the drives multiple times using the FAT32 file system. Both drives are brand new(one is 160GB and the other is 120GB). Both are not made by the same manufacturer and I have used multiple cables. I was able to load songs onto both drives without any concerns. What am I doing wrong? Is there a particular sector size which is not supported by the head unit? Is there potentially an issue with the unit itself? I have an IPOD which works AOK and have used 4GB USB HDD's(and 500mb USB HDDs). NOTE. Same songs were used for testing(and played AOK on the IPOD & USB HDD) I trialed a unit at the shop which I purchased the unit from and the USB HDD worked AOK without any concerns. HELP??? Thanks Matt
