Google "Mass USB Storage Driver" If you're stuck and need a driver for Windows 98. For all windows users, it shows up as a "removable disk" accessible from My Computer which you can add the files to and delete files from. The Manual I have states: 1) Make sure the switch is ON. 2) Switch on the power button and it will play automatically 3) Long press PLAY to turn off the player when the player is working 4) Switch on the power button to resume the song 5) Short press PLAY to pause when file is playing But these instructions are clearly out of order. It sounds like you hold PLAY to but it into a "standby" mode and if you hold PLAY again, it should pick up where it left off. If you flip the switch off and on, it goes back to the beginning of your playlist which appears to be ordered by file name.

5 does the battery really have to be on for it to charge? Normally I wouldn't ask, but my manual also said that the + button would proceed to the next song, and having the battery on makes no sense to me.

5 Ok here it is right from the Manual. USB DISK: As a standard USB disk with OS Windows 2000 and above. Mac OS 10.3 and above. Linux Redhat 8.0 and above (no driver needed) while Windows 98 Needs to setup Driver. BATTERY: make sure the power is ON to charge. the light will be on when the battery needs charging and off when fully charged. manage files directly threw "Portable Device" in "My Computer" on Windows 2000 OS or above. or you can use Windows Media Player's ActiveSync as I do

5 As far as I can tell, it will charge with the power off as well, though it wouldn't really make a difference since it appears to pull power through the usb while plugged in.

5 If you don't have a computer with Windows 98 installed - YOU DO NOT NEED A DRIVER! Treat it as though it is a USB thumb drive. Also, determined play order is determined from order the files were loaded to the device.

5 My MP3 player won't play when I disconnect it from the computer. I plugged it into the computer for about 4 hours and unplugged. Then I turned it on and held down play, but nothing. Thanks for any help!

5 Even my incorrectly printed manual had the answer to t that one: "holding down" play shuts it off. Don't hold down play and it will play just fine.
