I have a Sylvania SMPK8099 mp3 player. Downloaded ...

I have a Sylvania SMPK8099 mp3 player. Downloaded music to it, and although it plays, it doesn't recognize artist or album information...I have verified that all the tag information is there in the mp3 files. Am I doing something wrong?
