3 I had the same problem. First go to Windows media player and look for your MP3 player to be listed on the left side of the screen. Highlight the player. Then right click on the player with your mouse. Choose "Advanced Options". A small window will pop up. Now uncheck the box that says to "create folder hierarchy on device". For some reason this creates so many layers of folders and files that the MP3 doesn't read the songs even though your computer does. Now delete all the song folders you already have on there and download your songs to the device all over again. This time it will not create the folder system it did the last time, this time it will simply download the songs to the player and they should play with no problem. I hope this works for you.

0 YOU NEED TO DELETE SONGS & COPY & PASTE SONGS TO MUSIC FOLDER ON MP3. WILL ONLY HOLD 30 FOLDERS & SUBFOLDERS COMBINED. I HAD TO COPY & PASTE EACH SONG & NOW I HAVE 469 SONGS ALL IN 1 FOLDER. WILL HOLD 500 SONGS ON 4GB MODEL. TOOK ME 2 WEEKS TO FIGURE IT OUT. GOOD LUCK .

0 The media player is putting the songs into too many folders and sub folders...it's like the songs get buried. Simply uncheck the box as I said above and it will put all the songs directly into one folder for music. Or you can copy and paste the songs into the music folder on the MP4 directly from your music folders on your PC. Either way will work. Please READ my detailed post above and your player will work if you follow those steps.

0 you need to copy & paste songs from my music file to music file on mp3. 4GB mp3 will hold 500 songs all in 1 folder or 30 folders total. must copy & paste songs only not entire cd .
